What I think about the upcoming superhero movies, Batman vs Superman, X-Men Days of Future Past, The Amazing Spider-man 2, and Guardians of the Galaxy. I totally forgot about Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I knew I forgot a movie. I am really looking forward to it. The trailers look badass. Falcon looks great. Winter Soldier looks awesome. I can't wait!
This isn't really a review about Man of Steel, this is more about how I'm going to review it. Since I decided do monthly reviews and put Man of Steel in March, I've always thought I would be reviewing it as I've done for months, but I kept thinking I would just be ripping off the review by Nostalgia Critic and Angry Joe. I never like to use work from another artist especially one as talented as NC. After weeks of trying to figure out how to review Man of Steel my way, I decided that I'm going to review Man of Steel in a style reminiscent of Doug Walker's Bum Reviews, but like I stated before I'm going to try to do it my way. I'm thinking I might revisit it once I get more experience.
Okay, so I haven't posted any movie reviews to this blog in quite a while. That's because I've been doing some more… I don't know if I can quite say productive, but certainly more worthwhile stuff lately. :) You see, I'm unemployed, so there used to be periods when I'd spend several days in a row just watching two or sometimes three movies each day. But lately, I've been taking some more steps towards actually getting a life! :) So yes, this blog entry will be much more personal than what I usually talk about. After all, isn't that the purpose of a blog: essentially an online diary? This one's just for me, so if it does nothing for you, feel free to stop reading at any time. :)
On January 16th, I went for a two-week holiday to England, to visit my best friend John, as well as my uncle Dennis who lives in Bristol. I was intending to look for work in Bristol while I was on it. But when I checked the papers, there were almost no job adverts at all! In fact, in the Bristol Post, there didn't even seem to be a page for job ads! I probably should have been a bit more proactive, including seeking out the local recruitment agencies, but I was really more interested in what the employment situation was like in the area; I never expected any actual work to come of my efforts. That was partly because I was only staying for a week. I'll need to stick around longer next time, just in case I am actually called in for an interview. But, aside from the disappointment of finding no work, I have to say, this holiday was just the break I needed! :)
Wow...it has been....What? 2 YEARS?!?! Wow. Time has passed a lot. To give you an idea of just how long it has been since I have posted on this site, I actually had to get an email on this site to remember my Username. Craziness all around. And then there was the time I said I would explain whats going on and then left for a year (Dear god Im just an ASSHOLE. How DO you guys stand me?!?!)
Ok so the time has come for me to finally talk and explain. And, originally, I was going to make this video about it. Explain everything and then hype up my return to this awesome place and we where all going to be one big happy family again. So why arent you seeing that? Simply put, you dont wanna see it and I dont wanna waste your time.
Ok, so I left because other video stuff got in the way. When I started my blanket company, MyHeadHurts Production, I did it so I could have something as a tag along to the Music Freak series and any other shows I wanted to do. From there, I enjoyed myself some fun and enjoyed some laughs (And some craziness) with you as Youtube tried to murder me, Fanboys hated me and all around good times.
Then I got approached to work on some stuff. See, when I started Music Freak, I wanted to talk about something I was passionate about. One thing I knew I was passionate about was Music. The other was wrestling. That has been the one thing I could talk about for hours, days, hell WEEKS. And, I had a feeling I could never talk about wrestling in a humorous way (This was BEFORE I found Botchamania or other satire wrestling shows) so I opted for Music.
So the "Some Stuff" I mentioned before was a wrestling project. This friend is a professional Wrestler who wanted help with promos, DVDs and anything else needed. So I obliged no issue. At first it was easy. Then, the one thing I feared would happen did. I got sucked in. Yup. I hate to say it, but the time came for me to work almost day and night on the wrestling show. And I did just that. I still do sometimes. It basically has become my full time job now; Talking with wrestling Promoters, working with Venues, Helping out talent. Its crazy to think where life is getting.
So, that said, I cant bring back your shows from the past. I wont say they are "Dead" but....In a deep coma. If it comes a time when I can do the show justice to what it was, it will be back. Until then I want to focus on other projects that Im working on.
So what are the "Other projects" you ask? See, heres the thing. I said before this wrestling thing has become basically my job. And I want to share what the product is with you guys. See, I watch Monday Night Raw every week and I just cant help but to HATE what I see. Mediocre wrestling getting such a huge spotlight. I cant really even call it that. And whats worse is most people dont know about alternatives out there; Independent Wrestling.
Its where the stars of WWE break into wrestling. Its where yesterdays stars go to help the young up and comers. Its where fans are treated to some high action and and amazing athletics you can get. And, if you look around where you live, you can find these promotions probably relatively close to you.
One such wrestling promotion in South Florida I have the privilege of working with is Uknow Pro wrestling. And that leads us to today and beyond. Im going to introduce you to the stars and the matches of Uknow Pro here every week (At least once a week. Possibly more if you wanna see it) and you guys can get a taste of this stuff and some free action. If you like what you see, search out your local promotions and give them a shot. It might surprise you how great this stuff is.
So, without further adu, here is the start of our Journey with pro wrestling here on TGWTG.
I 've often thought about signing up to this amazing site and doing a blog but never did because of one reason.
I’m an idiot.
I don’t mean that in my usual crappy ‘toot toot what a fool I am, doesn’t that make me witty’ kind of way, but more the fact my brain is not firing on all cylinders. And as a result I’m sat alone in a dark room wondering how it happened. I know how it happened, I got lazy and my brain ceased. But in particular there are two ways where I feel like I need to vent to improve my life in some way, shape or form.
Unfortunately, I’ve decided to change up the review format
of digimon xros wars. I was planning on reviewing the main 54 episodes of
digimon xros wars/fusion, but after some thinking I decided that it’s best to hold
of on that and do a shorter review in a different style, essentially talking
about what I liked about this season of digimon, what I felt was weak about
this season and why I feel it’s the most approachable out of all 5 seasons.
Hello there, I'm SupaSphoje! An animator that posts
different animations on youtube and newgrounds, and creates many of these
animations in flash and on rare occasions, stop motion animation
(primarily charcoal). I have created a blog here because for a while I
have wanted to do my own retrospectives and reviews as I have been inspired by
watching other reviews and retrospectives on the site.
I also want to my own critiques because I want to show
get my different views out on different shows and movies that are very personal
to me that I can't share with others, usually because they haven't seen the
show/film or my view is radically different from the every day opinion. The
stuff I want to give in-depth retrospectives to are different animated
kids shows that have deep plots such as Avatar the Last Airbender and Digimon,
and give critiques to different movies, both old and new Like Anchorman or the
new Star Trek Movies with the alternate timeline.
Sometimes I might review a show that's just a basic
comedy, though it might not be a serious review, just my options on the show
overall. Heck I might do miscellaneous reviews on online web series
Hello readers. Over the span of today and possibly tomorrow I plan on posting the rest of my backlog of reviews. Most of these reviews are ones I made in 2010 and cover a wide range of movies. I hope you enjoy them.
