For the record, don't expect any election stuff from me. I like political humor, but really, there's nothing more to add....except this:
SUCK IT REPUBLICANS. AMERICA IS ON THE RIGHT TRACK NOW.
I wish i could say the same for TNA. Now the last time i reviewed a PPV, i made jokes and made the whole thing sound really silly, but this PPV sucked so bad, that i'm too angry to make jokes about it!
Here's a little build up: For the past few years, older, more established, but really crappy, wrestlers have been the main focus of TNA. Guys like Kevin Nash, Sting, Kurt Angle, Booker T, and Scott Steiner, who are past there prime and can't wrestle a decent match anymore. Especially if you compare them to the new, younger, better talent. Guys like AJ Styles, Alex Shelly, James Storm, Chris Sabin, Consequences Creed, Robert Roode, Eric Young, Samoa Joe, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, Petey Williams, and even guys like Matt Morgan and Abyss, have wrestled way better matches, with a faster pace and better moves.
Still, the older talent got the spotlight (and the better paychecks.) Some of them, Like Sting ans Nash, only work half as many shows, and still make more money than a full-time worker!
Anyway, TNA decided to make this into a storyline and put it on TV. The inital response was "ABOUT FUCKIN TIME! Took ya long enough!" and so, they mentioned that this was going on on TV. Now, any wrestling fan knows what happens next: The older talent form a group to face off against the younger talent, who also formed a group, and this lasts for...maybe a year. In this year, wins are traded back and forth, in that, each side wins and loses matches.
Now that's great! Finally, some good writing, right? NO! WRONG! THIS IS TNA, YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER! Here's their plan:
"Ok, so we have these 5 guys running rough-shot over TNA, and the young talent is being held down, demanding their shot. So let's have those 5 guys form a group and run rough-shot over TNA, AS A GROUP. They can be the bad guys."
Here's my response to this: "And the younger, better talent forms a face (Good guys) group too, right?"
"Not really. They show some unity, and have like, 10 guys, but it doesn't really show."
AND here we are now! The 5 older guys, dubbed the Main Event Mafia (or MEM) Win all there matches leading up to the PPV, and beat down all the young talent, and somehow use a numbers gain. (The younger talent agreed to help you two guys, WHERE ARE THEY!?)
And at the PPV, it was all the same. MEM (hehe, MEM.) won ALL their matches! ALL OF THEM!
Kurt Angle beat Abyss in a falls count anywhere match (Abyss is the KING of using and getting hit by weapons....well he was, then TNA ruined him.)
Booker T beat Christian Cage for the new TNA Legends title. (What a stupid name. Makes no sense that Booker can just walk out with a belt, say, "I'm the champion!" and POOF, it's an official title!)
Somehow, Kevin Nash beat Samoa Joe in a NoDQ match! Nash can't wrestle and has a leg as durable as cheap cardboard!
And, in the biggest travasty of the night, Sting BEAT AJ Styles, due to interfearence from MEM (Haha, MEM! Don't say the letters, say it as one word. MEM!) to retain the world title Once again, like at BFGIV, Sting got his ass handed to him the entire match.
Wow TNA, you took a idiot-proof storyline that always worked, and FUCKED IT UP. The ONLY way you can save it, and luckily you can, is by having all the younger, better talent form a super-group, and have them go full REBELION on MEM (MEM!! HAHA!! MEM!) and TNA. Oh, and win all the titles (With AJ as world Champion and Sabin and Shelly as tag champs, of course) That's the ONLY way...but i read the spoilers for this week's iMPACT!, and that doesn't happen.....you still got time TNA! HURRY!
You can't script that! (MEM!!!)
Now... if MEM continue to outright beat down everyone up until the next PPV, then again, have all its members win at the PPV.. THEN you can call this another Russo BS Angle (Angle included).
