By several requests, I have decided on my first musical film review. I will review Mel Brooks' The Producers. The review should be up within the next 2 weeks. I'm not just doing bad musicals, I'm doing good ones as well. But don't worry, I do plan on reviewing Hello Dolly at one point (especially since I just finished this show as Barnaby Tucker). I even have a short clip of Hello Dolly in my intro.

I sure hope you take significant time to rag on how awful an adaptation that movie was in compared to the brilliant stage play that preceded it. Good musical movies have been few and far between, and when the Producers made that jump, they just fell in the pit alongside Sweeney Todd and Phantom of the Opera; I expect those to be criticized to Hell somewhere along the line as well, oh Musical Critic.
Suffice it to say, despite my misgivings about the poor treatment that my beloved Producers received in the Hollywood Musical Movie Making Machine, I'm genuinely looking forward to these reviews
