Sorry for the delay folks, I've been on a short business trip in Tasmania but I'm back and so is the list.

We now move the wii-mote over to #23 Super Mario Sunshine for the GC

Let's face it Super Mario 64 is one of THE greatest games ever. So we really had our hopes up high for the next 3D Mario platformer. REALLY HIGH. What we got was Super Mario Sunshine. Not to say it wasn't a fun game but it definately was no SM64.   Though a really great game it was a little dissapointing compared to it's predecessor.

The plot: Mario, Peach, and our favorite Portabello Toadsworth are taking a vacay in Peach's private jet in what I presume are the events after Mario 64. Anyway while flying, everyone sees this advert for a tropical island called Isle Delfino filled with sun, surf, and food. But Peach spots a mysterious figure in the background who looks like..........DANNY DEVITO! Here to ruin everyone's vacation! Obviously I'm joking. SO she sees a mean looking figure in the shape of Mario and grows concerned, and has second thoughts but she's outnumbered over Mario and Toadsworth. For once the blond damsel in distress has the brains in the group..     So after landing on the island this big muk monster comes out, causing Mario to meet Fludd, a water pump, who you'll be using to attack with for a majority of the game.....yeahhhh. So he destroys the monster and gets a Shine Sprite. But apparently all this messiness was caused by, get ready, MARIO HIMSELF! duh duh duh! Yes that shadowy figure has been framing Mario by ruining the island, and as a result Mario has to clean up the whole island to get more Shine Sprites to both save the island and redeem himself. One thing leads to another, Peach gets kidnapped(.....)we meet the most annoying Mario character of all time, yada yada yada.

Ok the gameplay,  the main idea is pretty much the same, you have to complete missions to get all 120 stars and save the princess. But the way you achieve these stars is slightly different. For most of the game you're using fludd, who you either use as a water nozzle or to hover with. Most of the missions consist of using fludd one way or another in the end, but there's also that one token mission each level, where Fludd is taken away and we must go through an obstacle coarse as just plain Mario. Though very sweet these levels can be quite short. I think the main bosses you face are Blooper and a Piranha plant of some sort that has similar characterisitics to Emily Rose.

There are also some old favorites like Boo  , who has an interesting but fun boss battle deep below a casino in one of the most creative battles in the game. But alot of levels in this game are creative, from Amusement Parks, to towns high above mountains, and although I'm a fan of classic Mario platforming, playing with Fludd can be an interesting and fun experience. I'm sure many Yoshi fans were also pleased with his bigger appearance in the game where you can ride him around  the whole town. Many missions are creative as well. Including riding bloopers through an obstacle coarse, destroying a giant mantaray, and riding a rollercoaster in an attempt to destroy a Robotic Bowser.

Now some of the bad aspects. I for one thought that the pinatas or whatever they are, were incredibly annoying. They look like they belong more in Pokemon or Zelda than a Mario game. And ofcoarse Bowser Jr.  who I think is one of the most annoying characters in the gaming universe. The battle against Bowser was also slightly dissapointing after all the hard work we went through to face him. We also got to experience Bowser talking for the first time which I'm glad Nintendo dropped when he returned in Galaxy. And Fludd can also have his cons during certain gameplay.

Over all I think this was a great game and really fun in general. But for a Mario game, I think it could've been a little better as a sequel to 64. But that didn't stop me from having a great time playing Super Mario Sunshine which is why I put it as #23 in My Greatest Games Of All Time List.

Thank You
