Welcome back to My Top 25 greatest games of all time list where we will now move on to #22
The Sims 2 for The PC
One of the main issues with a lot of games is that after you beat the game there is usually nothing to do afterwards. That's not the case with The Sims 2. From Will Wright, the master of games where people play in God's sandbox, the Sims 2 is an amazing game that's sure to keep people entertained for longer than mere hours. If you haven't heard of this game already here's the main scoop. You create a household, by making your own people. You can dress them, give them personalities, decide if they're single, married, married with kids, or just roomates. Possibilities are nearly endless. Then you find a house for them and begin their lives. The plot is everything that happens afterwards. You decide everything until the day they die. You decide who they talk to, when they bathe, even when they eat. Hell, make 'em starve to death! It's all your choice! What's also amazing is how realistic it can be to real life. They start out small on a slight budget but if you get them a job and if they work hard, it'll all eventually pay off and you can buy that small black and white tv you've been saving up for! And ofcoarse if you do the opposite, you'll go bankrupt and eventually die. To get a raise at work you'll need to improve certain skills, one small move on a date can ruin an entire relationship, if Howard hadn't been less cheap to buy a smoke detector we might still have a kitchen. It's pretty much an actual life you're controlling in there. And one of the greatest things is that it practically never ends! You can make endless families and build endless houses to watch over. Heck just one family can last a while if you meet the right people to keep it going with. I'm even sure the mean spirited will have a blast doing things like removing the doors during a kitchen fire. There are an endless amount of things to do with this game. What I like to do the most is to make seperate neighborhoods with characters from my favorite tv shows or family members.
The only negatives to this game is the fact that the people are pretty much restricted to their homes when it comes to socialism. By this I mean that you can't go to other people's homes, an option which I'm looking forward to in The Sims 3. Another thing is that it can be incredibly easy to lose your friends. If you don't call them on the phone for at least 3 days your relationship will be near rock bottom.
But putting those things aside I think this is a genious game from EA and the mind of Will Wirght. If you have a computer get this game. Even if you don't care for PC games get this game. It'll defintately have you hooked for weeks!
Which is why I put The Sims 2 at #22 in MY Top 25 Games of All Time List
Thank You
Even as we speak, I'm working on a skyscraping commercial center and suburban dreamland.
