Welcome back as we go down the list of some of my all time favorite games.

Today we go to #21

Crash Team Racing for The Playstation

 This was a hard choice between Mario Kart 64 and this one but CTR definately takes the cake. Some people think that this is a copy of MK64 but really it's just the same basic gameplay with better graphics, and more gaming options. For one thing, while Mario Kart simply lets you race, CTR gives us an adventure mode, battle mode, and characters to unlock. 

The Plot for adventure mode: An alien whose life is bound to racing challenges the people of Earth in a showdown called Survival Of The Fastest. In it you must win 16 trophies from 16 tracks to challenge this alien, Nitrus Oxide. If you win, he leaves. If you lose, he turns Earth into a concrete parking lot. The only really difference to this and basic racing are the boss levels, and chances of unlocking extra characters.

Gameplay: As you can tell Crash Team Racing is simply a kart racing game featuring our favorite marsupial and his friends/foes. But it really isn't A kart racing game, it's THE kart racing game. Naughty Dog has always been skilled enough to take it's players to unique and creative levels in the Crash Bandicoot universe. The guys once again do a great job in CTR. With 16  different tracks, from an ancient pyramid to a track hanging on hot air baloons in the sky, these tracks are all equally fun and wonderful to race on. Considering these, a wide range of characters, and awesome items, CTR will be a blast for someone just playing by themselves. I'd love to go into detail about how cool and unique each track is, but that might be too much typing than I can handle.

However this game does hold some great multiplayer memories. I remember my friends and I spending our entire sleepovers playing this game. And how much I loved the advantag eof knowing the cool shortcuts, particulary the ones in Sewer Speedway and Tiger Temple (if you've played this game you'll know what I'm talking about) But even at my age this game is still popular at parties and I still have a blast playing it by myself and others. And why not, it has sweet race tracks, cool weapons, good characters, and features the good ol' Naughty Dog Crash. What more could you want in a playstationgame.Sadly however this is the last Crash game Naughty Dog made , so it was the last one that was truly great.(Crash Bash was simply mediocre)Even more reason to play it, the good childhood memories of the Orange Tornado. If you have a playstation of any kind and don't have this game, you should get it. I'm sure you could find one on Ebay or Amazon. Even if you aren't a fan of Crash you should get it. It's incredibly fun, addictive and there's no reason why anyone would hate it!
