TETRIS for the GameBoy
Ok this is definately up in the ranks for not only one of the the greatest games, but also the most addicting. If anyone ever purchased the original GameBoy, then you've nore than likely played Tetris.
Starting as a launch game for the GameBoy system, Teris took the world by storm. And it's easy to see why! The main idea for Teris is simple, but the gameplay can be challenging and addicting. There are about 3 or 4 different blocks that will slowly fall down from the screen, and you have to arrange them so that they fit together, sort of like a puzzle, and form a straight line. Doing this will make the line vanish, leaving you more room. But you cannot let the blocks stack all the way up to the top, or your game's over. Though it doesn't sound like the most interesting game, trust me, you really have to try this yourself to get the feel of it. I guarantee that someone will be lost for hours trying to strategize the path and formation of these blocks. I was on a 17 hour plane to North America, and while playing this on one of those cool Qantas tvs, I think I occupied a good four hours of my flight. If you don't believe me google Tetris and try it out on a few websites. Before theBrain Age games for the DS, Tetris was one of those games that brainy people and gamers could both enjoy. Because it's one of those fun games that you'll be wracking your brain on trying to think of the greatest move. In general Teris is a great game that everyone can enjoy and get hooked on. Which is why i put it at #19 on MY Top 25 Greatest Games Of All Time list
