Welcome back once again as we go down the list of some of the greatest games of yesterday and today. We now move on to #18

CRASH BANDICOOT WARPED For The Playstation

Well what can I say, not only is it the best classic Crash games ever (and those games ROCKED!) But it's also one of the best platforemers not only for the playstation. But one of the best ever, EVER! If you haven't played this game because you think it's a dumb cartoon game for children, you're one of the biggest idiots on the face of this Earth.

Now that that's out of the way let's talk about the plot.

This is the third in the series so if you don't know the events before this one, your loss. Anyway, the Cortex Vortex falls to Earth after another victory from Crash Bandicoot! (yayyy) But when this big hunk of junk crashes, it unleashes Uka Uka, the most powerful, and dangerous thing on the planet. He's displeased with Cortex's second failure to collect the crystals. And why not, this idiot always loses to a marsupial. Anyway, he claims that Cortex can't handle this mission by himself anymore. So he calls in the big guns. Dr. Nefarious Trophy (or N.Trophy, get it?) a master in the ways of time travel, who has a machine that can take them  to  each crystal's original time period. Giving them total power. After sensing this evil, Aku Aku warns Crash and Coco of the danger that lies ahead. However this doesn't frighten Crash in the slightest, and immediately knows what he's got to do. So, getting on to the giant time twister machine. Crash decides to travel through time and collect the crystals before Cortex does!

Now we start the fun part. You basically play as Crash who is on the time twister during the whole game. In the beginning there are five time periods that you must go to in order to collect five crystals. After collecting all 5 you must challenge one of the many creative bosses, in order to unlock the next five levels. But the levels themselves are amazing! You get to jump on swordsman in the midevil levles, make your way through pyramid mazes, have a motorcycle race in the 50's, and ride a tiger on the great wall during it's construction. You even ride on a baby T-rex while running away from a Giant Triceratops. YOU RIDE ON A T-REX! The crew at Naughty Dog really overdid themselves in making so many creative levels as you play in time's key moments. And as always Crash is easily one of those characters that you want to root for no matter what. He doesn't speak, but some of his facial expressions (especially during his deaths) are both amazing and hilarious. as with all the old Crash games, they don't come short on humour. For example, after defeating the first boss, you get a message from Cortex saying "Tiny was a good fellow, hated everyone and everything, but a good heart nonetheless" Lines like these and Crash himself are guaranteed to atleast give you a chuckle if you play this gmae completely through.

Even the bosses are amazing in which they're both creative, unique, and fun. The first is Tiny, a giant Tiger who you fight in the colluseom while avoiding his hungry lions. The second, and one of my favorites, is Dingodile. A mutant mix between a dingo and a crocodile, who traps himself behind a wall of crystals and fires at you from his flamethrower. The third is N,Trophy himself who uses his giant staff to dish out rays and balls of of a light that can instantly kill you, but every time you hit him, the tiles you stand on change position. The fourth and probably coolest of all. Is an all out dog fight in space as you fight N.Gin (Cortex's trusty assistant) in his giant robot suit and space fighter, fighting as Coco, Crash's sister. And finally Cortx himself who will throw bombs and attempt to shoot you with his gun while on his hoverboard. The real tricky part is avoiding all these attacks while ALSO avoiding the battle between Aku Aku and Uka Uka.

And the music, oh the MUSIC is simply amazing as well. Each score for each level uniquely matches the level or event itself. The jurassic levels' score comes complete with a largely used xylophone heard in the background. The future levels have a techno upbeat tune, for the motorcycle races, the music sounds like something from the 50s and it works SO well! Even the bosses each have their own amazing scores, my all time favorite being Dingodile. Everything in this game just seemed amzaing!

Your even awarded with upgrades after defeating the bosses, my favorite being a fruit bazooka, which can defeat enemies from a far off distance. I loved everything in this game! However, this game is in a way, a tragedy, seeing as it was the end of what could've been a bright future for Crash. Because it was the last platformer Naughty Dog made. But you can't say they didn't leave with a bang because this game is living proof! I highly, HIGHLY suggest buying this if you have a playstation because you can't call yourself a gamer if you haven't played this game! Which is why I rank it at #18 on My Top 25 Greatest Games Of All Time.
