SSG here and we are going to review a classic game I still play today. And what game might that be? Well, that game would be Kingdom hearts!
Man this game brings back lotsa memories. This is one of those games that seems really stupid because of the storyline, charecters, and It has disney but it's still a great game.
The game is about a boy named sora who lives on a island named destiny islands. He has two friends, riku and kairi. They think about making a raft and visiting other worlds (How the hell would they do that with a raft?). They make the raft and they all rest up. Sora sees that a storm is brewing so he goes to make sure the raft is ok.
These things called "Heartless" attack and sora, with no idea what to do, runs away. He finds riku who tells him to not struggle and to let the darkness flow (What type of friend tells you to let the darkness overcome you?!). Sora struggles and then he gets a weapon called a "Keyblade" (This is the kingdom key form).
He finds a door and goes through it and he sees kairi and she gets hit by lotsa wind and sora tries to catch her, but she somehow disappears. Sora then fights a GIANT heartless and he then gets teliported to traverse town.
I am not saying anymore. Either get the game or read about it. I am not giving away any more. The fight system is great, the graphics are very good for a 2002 game, and the controls are mostly customizable. I'd say most people would like this, but some people wouldn't. I'd say rent it or play it at a friends house.
Now for the things that I dislike. The gummi ship levels. God they are so annoying. That is why I love the warp gummi. The cutscenes are not skipable (Unlike in the sequel) and half of them drag on for a long time. I hate that it takes a while to make the ultima weapon, and that the game even though it has a normal mode, IS FREAKING HARD! I dare you to play the whole thing on expert. I still haven't beaten it on expert (I have on normal).
Gameplay: 4/5
Control: 5/5
Graphics: 4/5
Enjoyment: 5/5
Now time for my fanboyism. I hate that japan has still not released final mix 1 and 2 into america or anywhere else. Japan gets everything good T_T. Theres a remake of the gameboy advance KH game that was bundled with kingdom hearts 2 final mix in 3-D and there releasing it to the U.S. and other areas. This makes me happy because it will make more of a chance for final mix 1 and 2 into the U.S. and other areas. Oh and I am so much of a fanboy, that I am getting a replica keyblade for X-mas. $60. Can't wait. This is SSG signing out.
Kingdom hearts review

And unlike most Disney related things that come in twos, the sequel is decent as well. The storyline is quite a bit more in depth, the graphics are quite a bit better, and overall they continued it way better than anyone would've ever imagined. The only problem I can find is, where is the Lilo and Stitch level? I mean I know, Stitch was a Summon but I think a little alien monster has enough fighting power to be it's own level...plus I want to see what the characters would look like in 3D.
