‘It's' the most terrifying thing around. ‘It' has scared thousands of people across the globe. And now, I'm gonna review ‘It.'
‘It' is one of Stephan King's most terrifying creations of all time. There's no way you weren't scared of this movie when you were little. And, being that I just got through seeing all three hours of it, I think I'll review ‘It.'
You remember the story, right? If you've blocked it out because you were too scared, I'll give you a little reminder:
A group of 7 friends are tormented by a monster that can turn into their worst fears. They come together and defeat it. Thirty years later, the beast re-awakens, and it's stronger then ever. Now, the friends have to come together again and defeat it once and for all.
Sounds like a pretty good story, right? Well, it's not. It's way better then good. It's phenomenal. It's one of the best horror films I've ever seen in my life. And it still scares the hell out of me.
And the reason it still scares me is two words: Tim Curry. He plays ‘It's' form of Pennywise, a demonic clown who eats children. This guy is the reason most of the world now hates clowns. I swear, whoever designed the makeup for this guy should win some kind of medal. If there isn't, I'll make one up. Whoever you are, I present you with the invisible "Man, you made that guy look WAY scary" Medal. I mean, look at him:
Would you want to run into that guy in a dark ally? My guess is no. And I don't blame you. In fact, I wouldn't even want to run into him in broad daylight in the middle of a crowded street. Not only is the makeup good, this guy's acting is freaking awesome. It just might be Tim Curry's best role.
The people who play the seven friends are the father from ‘Sister, Sister,' Jack Tripper, Jerry Springer's much nicer twin, the judge from ‘Night Court,' John Boy from ‘The Waltons,' and Annette O' Toole. I know you only count six there, but the last guy isn't in most of the movie. So I feel no real need to include him. I have no gripes about any of these actors. They all did a very good job of capturing the terror we all felt in our hearts.
For those of you who haven't seen it, I totally recommend it for a day where you have absolutely nothing to do for three hours. It's a good horror flick without having any of those cheesy slasher moments.
I give it 8.75 bloody balloons out of 10.
That's about all I have to say. This has been a movie review by Daffy.
PS I am one of the lucky few to be running in the BOB competition. In light of that, I made the following banner.
But, after reading Prodigs latest anime review, I'd like to say good luck to all other competitors and to you, the voters, to give everyone a fair chance and read a couple of the articles we've posted before casting your vote. Thank you for your time.
